It has often been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we see examples of that saying in life no matter where we look. It is especially true when somebody is trying to spread beauty, as is the case with many artists who want nothing more than to share their vision with the rest of the world. At times, it can really make a difference in people’s lives and the more they try to make the world a beautiful place, the more we absolutely love what they are doing.
In Madrid, a Spanish artist has set her mind on changing her little part of the world with some colourful patterns. She is turning the streets in that area with beautiful floral cross stitch installations. Her name is Racquel Roderigo, and her work is exceptionally beautiful.
Her work begins by wrapping pieces of string around wire mesh. Before bringing them to the area where they will be installed, she prepares them and then unrolls them to create something quite unusual. You can enjoy some of her creations through these images:
