Michael Mason of Atlanta, Georgia saw a pit bull lying on the ground. It appears to have been hit by a car.
Another pit bull is standing over the injured dog and seems to be asking for help.
Mr. Mason took a photo and uploaded it on Facebook. It went viral after actress Kylie Szymanski shared it to her friends.
The female dog died. Her companion was brought to the Fulton County Animal Services and was named Herman.
