On December 2, 2012, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart made a powerful cover of “Stairway to Heaven” as part of the tribute to Led Zeppelin during the Kennedy Center Honors.
Aired on CBS on December 26, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin were present and could not help but to shed tears.
Jason Bonham, son of the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, performed the drums. Heart was also accompanied by an orchestra and an amazing choir.
