Owen and Haatchi have a separate inspiring story. But they created a special bonding, and even won a “Friends for Life” award in 2013.
Owen Howkins, 7, has Schwartz Jampel Syndrome (SJS), which caused him muscle disorder, affecting also his self-confidence.
On the other hand, Haatchi, an Anatolian Shepherd dog, was deliberately tied to a railroad line in London and got hit by a train. This caused the dog’s leg and tail to be amputated.
Owen’s family adopted Haatchi. Since then, the disabled dog and the three-legged dog became best friends.
BFF… for real.
