Fake Cop Gets A Surprise When He Pulls Over A Car With Real Detectives

You can call this one karma or you might just call it a really bad decision but in either case, it is one that is worth smiling over. It seems as if a man-made the worst decision of his life, but it is one that backfired in a way that leaves us all feeling a little better.

Most people would agree that mistakes are something that we make on a daily basis. There are even some crimes that may be committed, perhaps regularly and perhaps even without knowing it. After all, when was the last time you went over the speed limit?

When we look back at some of the things that we’ve done in our life, we often have at least a little regret over them. We might feel foolish but as long as you aren’t 25-year-old Valiery Portluck, you’re doing okay.

Portlock is from Hicksville, New York and he made the decision that he was going to go out and drive around in his policeman’s uniform one day. The problem was, he isn’t a policeman but he did have a black car with emergency lights.

As he was looking for someone to pull over, he noticed a white van that he thought it would be the perfect choice. He turned on his sirens, flashed his lights and pulled the van over.

The problem is, when he asked the people in the van for ID, he found out that there were actually all police detectives. I’m sure that at this point, his heart was sinking but the law enforcement officers from Nassau County were all too happy to take over that particular traffic stop.

As it turns out, they were looking for a man driving a black car and impersonating police officers. They set up the trap and when he tried to escape, they put out an APB for him.

He made it to the Long Island Expressway but police officers were able to catch him and put him in custody. He is being charged with three violations, including first-degree criminal impersonation, second degree reckless endangerment, and unlawful fleeing from a police officer.

Additional violations dealing with the way he operated the motor vehicle are also being levied against him.

It seems as if he had taken quite some time to prepare his activities for the day. He got his car ready and thought that everything was good to go, but his plan backfired.

Now, he is in jail and there is one group of police detectives that are very happy they were in the right place at the right time.
