Talk about a miracle baby! The parents of this baby girl were told by her doctor that the baby wouldn’t survive once born. She had one side of her heart not beating, better known as, hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
The doctors even suggested not once, but twice to the parents, to abort the baby. Because it was either that, or the baby would die once born in their arms. But, towards the end of the mother’s 20 week pregnancy ultrasound the baby miraculously gave her parents a thumbs up. The parents decided to let their baby girl fight. They knew in their hearts she would pull through.
The baby, Chanel, was born, and immediately taken in for open heart surgery. She became one of Britain’s youngest people to get this kind of surgery. A few days later, she was taken in for another surgery. Today, Chanel is growing healthily and strong. Lesson learned, when it comes to your children, always go with your gut instinct.
During a scan, Chanel gave her mom and dad a thumbs up. They knew their little fighter could pull through.
Just minutes after birth, doctors rushed the 7lb baby into an operating room to put a stent in her heart. She had hypoplastic left heart syndrome. One side of her heart wasn’t beating.
Seven days later, Chanel had another operation. Now, she is growing stronger with every passing minute, beating the odds and showing others how to be strong.
