It can be difficult when you struggle with a bad haircut, as most of us can relate. In fact, we would probably rate a bad haircut at the top of our list of annoyances, especially when we are facing our peers at school. That is why it is so amazing that this young boy, named Brayden Carpenter, had his head shaved before homecoming. That is, of course, until you find out the rest of the story.
He shaved his head, not to gain attention or because it was a fashion statement, but because his close friend had recently lost her hair as a result of chemotherapy treatments. He wanted her to feel good about going to the homecoming dance, even though she was bald, so he decided to join right in with her!

Ever since the sixth grade, Brandon and Allie have been close friends. That is why it came as no surprise that when homecoming came around, they were together for that event. Allie has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments for a rare type of brain cancer known as anaplastic ependymoma.
In order to reduce the stress associated with losing her hair, she decided to have it shaved when the chemotherapy started. We’re glad that her friend stepped up to the plate and had his shaved as well.
