When we are overwhelmed with excitement, we may show it in a number of different ways. At times, we simply throw our arms in the air and it appears as if this little kitty is doing the same thing.
Her name is Keys, and she is gaining Internet fame by being the cat that lifts her paws up in the air. It looks as if she is stretching, but the truth behind why she is doing it is actually more precious than seeing her do it in the first place.
Keys is a tuxedo Kitty living in California with her human counterpart, Peter Mares. She lifted her paws up in the air one morning as if she were stretching. Peter grabbed his camera and snapped a picture quickly.
He thought it was a one time thing but the next day, she did it again but this time she was rewarded with the treat. She learned very quickly to do it every time she sees the camera
Every time she does it, Keys gets a treat, and Peter says “I know what you want.” That has become the magic phrase! If Keys should happen to hear those magic words (and see the camera) – up go her paws!
Once her pictures made it online, people began photoshopping them in rather creative ways.
