Ginger Cat Is Recruited To Help Keep Rodents Away And Is Caught Napping On Duty

The NSW Mounted Police in Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia has a new addition to the force. He is a ginger feline, brought on board for a very important job. They needed someone to keep out rodents from the stables. Unfortunately, the cat they chose has a problem.

He is very good at tracking down the rodents but he loves to have a nap.

When he does, he clocks out and there is nothing that will wake him until he is done.

Meet Troop Cat Ed

1

The officers of the Mounted Police adopted him to patrol the stables and keep away rodents.

While Ed is awake, he performs his duties like a pro. He tackles the unsuspecting rodents when they expect it least. Sometimes he will even bring a prize into the office.

Ed was rescued by one of the officers. He needed a place to live and they needed help around the stables.

3

The ginger cat has access to the entire stable and does a good job. The only problem is, he likes to sleep on duty.

4

“He’s quite active in the mornings and he has favourite stables he likes to visit.”

“There is one spot where he sits and waits for the rats to come running inside – he has delivered a dead rat to the office as well.”

Ed also likes to work on the keyboard

5

Most of his work is done in the morning. He loves being by his heater for the rest of the day, or anywhere he can have a nap.

6

Ed, are you working hard or hardly working?
