There are some people who doubt the ability of animals to show love, but they continue to prove them wrong. That was the case with these three kittens, which were found huddled up together. The two tabbies were wrapping themselves around their tiny sister, helping to keep her safe and warm. Megan Sorbara had gone out for some ice cream and she heard about these three tiny kittens who needed her help.
When she saw the kittens, she realised something was wrong. Megan Is the President of Naples Cat Alliance. The two tabbies were wrapped around their smaller sibling who was trembling. She felt as if they were protecting her.
She then realised that the little white kitten could hardly walk and her siblings were helping to keep her warm.
She took the kittens back to the Naples Cat Alliance so they could get any care that was necessary. It appeared as if the small white kitten had balance issues.
“She has a very pronounced head tilt to the left, but she has a very healthy appetite and manages to roll to where she wants to go.”
The tabbies were named pistachio and praline and the little sister is named coconut. They are being bottle-fed around the clock and the two tabbies continue to keep themselves wrapped around their little sister.
They are looking to find the mother cat.
“We have been back every night trying to get mum but she won’t go in the trap.”
“We have trapped at this location before and she has witnessed everyone else going in, so she is what we call trap shy.”
The resident dog also loves cats and has taken to the little kittens and is now being their foster mum.
Coconut continues to improve every day. She is getting stronger and is able to hold her head up straighter.
She has a lot more strength than even returns kisses to her canine caregiver.
While the babies are being cared for, the team continues their mission to find the mother so they can reunite them.
