When most of us think about an animal that craves human attention, our thoughts will first turn to dogs. Although it is true dogs are often found with their humans, there are also other animals who want that close bond as well.
A great example is this cat, who was living a shelter life, although she was 13 years old. She wasn’t content living in the shelter, however, so every time someone walked by, she would paw at the window, asking for some love. She wanted nothing more than for someone to take her home.
Sienna was living in a shelter known as “Tabby’s Place,” and she had lived there since her human parents passed away. She missed having a loving home, so she would run to the window to ask for attention anytime someone walked by.
When she spotted a visitor, she would wave her paws up and down, asking the passerby for love and attention.
When they would put their hand near the glass, she would press up against the window, hoping to be petted.
Then one day, something amazing happened. She found her forever human.
The day Sienna met her forever human.
Terri came across the story of this affectionate tuxedo and knew there was only one thing to do – visit the cat sanctuary and give the kitty a place to call home.
When she came to Sienna’s suite, the furry lovebug made a beeline to Terri, placing her paws on the window that separated the two and started her ‘dance’ routine. Terri reached out her hand to meet Sienna’s paw, and that was the last time she danced at the Tabby’s Place.
It has been a year since she found her forever home. Her new family renamed her Chloe, and she is the queen of the house.
She hasn’t stopped cuddling and purring since she came home. Sometimes, her humans can’t even get much done because she wants the attention.
She may be an older cat, but she has a lot of kitten left in her.
In this picture, she thought the towel would be the best place to sit and wouldn’t take no for an answer.
She is a big help in the kitchen and has become quite a food critic.
She snuggles up with her human every night and purrs until the morning. Who would need an alarm with Chloe around?
Chloe is now 14 years old. She is totally satisfied to be in her new, loving home with her forever family.
