If you were to look around at the train stations in West Yorkshire, you might come across a rather unusual individual who was waiting on the platform. I’m talking about Felix, a nine-month-old cat who has been frequenting the TransPennine Express’s Huddersfield train station.
She started patrolling the platforms at the station, taking care of any pests that needed removal. It didn’t take long before those who worked at the train station grew to like Felix and they even gave her a special cat door so she could come and go as she pleased. She even developed a large social media following with over 7000 likes!
Five years after she started giving diligent service to the station, they rewarded her. She was promoted to Senior Pest Controller and she got a traffic vest and a name tag. It looks as if she will be keeping the station pest free and she found her forever home.
