Shelter Dog Finds Love And Expresses it In A Sweet Smile

There are many animal shelters around the world, and in each of them, dozens or perhaps even hundreds of animals. From time to time we hear about those shelters and an amazing story of a dog being saved, but more often than not, it is a simple adoption and the start of a lifetime of family love.

Nala is one of those dogs who just so happened to find her forever family after ending up in a Northern California shelter. Some good people came by and decided to make her part of their family.

When they did, she gave the sweetest smile when she realized she was going home.

According to Finnegan Dowling, spokesperson for the Silicon Valley Humane Society, “Nala is just bonkers over the kids. It’s like everything that’s right about pet adoption in one goofy selfie.”

Tanya Seidman, Nala’s new human mum, said they started looking for a dog after another of their dogs died. They had gone to the shelter to meet another dog and ended up meeting Nala.

“She was so adorable with big eyes and a sweet disposition. We immediately knew this was the dog for us.”

Once the smiles started, they just kept coming.

“We have been snuggling and giving her kisses nonstop.”

Truth be known, it hasn’t been totally nonstop. There have been many other activities, including hiking and visiting a local dog park.

Nala has also developed a love of bananas, so her family now carries them around for her in plastic bags as a treat.

The family also has another dog. Logan is a 125 pound German Shepherd. He has been won over by Nala since moving in.

“After a few hours of careful introductions, everything went well. Nala immediately adapted to her new home.”

Nala got a new bed when she came into her new home but she doesn’t use it. She would rather sleep with her new people and spends her days glued close to them as well.

6

Nala certainly has found a loving family.

“I feel in my heart that Nala is a very appreciative dog,” says Tanya. “And it makes me feel great that I made a huge difference in a little dog’s life.”
