Julie Docherty is a woman with a big heart, and when you see what she was able to do, you will certainly agree. Like many people, she decided to adopt a dog, but she didn’t stop at one. She ended up adopting 4 dogs, and they are very special.
These aren’t just regular shelter dogs, they are senior dogs. That’s right, she adopted 4 senior chihuahuas, and she couldn’t be any happier. It all started 5 years ago, when Julie adopted an 11 year old dog, Sir MoMo. She admits his sight and hearing are not very good but he is the gentlest and kindest dog you would ever want to meet.
After bonding with MoMo, she came to a realization. Senior dogs are awesome, and they have a lot to give. Since then, she has adopted 4 other older chihuahuas that range in age from 13 to 16 years old. SHe also had a fifth senior adopted dog, Lalo Flan, but he passed away due to cancer.
Take a look down through the pictures she posted on Instagram. You will have to agree, these dogs may be older but they are awesome!
