There is something rather interesting that we have discovered thanks to the Internet. It seems as if people have an unusual fixation on felines and they just can’t get enough of the cats in their lives. They watch one cat video after another and if they see pictures of a cute cat online, they can’t help but stop to take a look. Of course, we have all loved cats for a long time and it didn’t take the Internet to cause us to do so.
It seems as if it is not only humans who have a love for cats, it also extends to animals of other types as well. That includes Crosby, who is a dog that absolutely adores kitties. He has always been around other animals where he lives in his forever home but recently, he had to say goodbye as two of his best friends passed away. It was a very sad occasion for Crosby, but he was about to find a way to fill that hole in his life.
“About six months ago, he lost his kitty friend, and just over a month ago he lost his best doggo friend that he’s had as a companion since he was eight weeks old,” imgur user squishiepeachies, Crosby’s owner, said.
“Crosby has been pretty okay about being an only doggo, or so I thought.”
He came home just like any other day but there was more than Crosby waiting for him. Crosby typically also meets him with a lot of excitement but on this particular day, he met him and took him to the bathtub.
That is when he met a little kitten who was being very vocal. I’ve never seen this kitten before, and although I do have a doggy door, it’s way too high off the ground for this little baby to have snuck in. It seems to me that Crosby must have brought her inside.
“She has an uncanny resemblance to the kitty friend he lost 6 months ago.”
He started to ask the neighbors about the kitten and some said they had seen her before. Nobody knew who she belonged to.
“I took the kitty to the vet to see if she was microchipped, and she isn’t. She was however spayed just a few days ago, and is thought to be about four months old.”
The vet said that the kitten would likely be put down if he took her to the shelter because they were already over capacity.
He just couldn’t stand the thought of the kitten having to fend for herself outside and his dog seemed to be attached to her. That is when he made the decision to make her part of the forever family.
Crosby absolutely loved his new friend!
In some way or another, Crosby had brought the little friend home that night and now they were part of a family. He was so happy to have somebody to be by his side again.
