When a man and a woman fall in love, it is common for the man to get her flowers and other gifts. Admittedly, the woman will also get gifts for the man but typically, flowers are not included in the mix. Most men consider themselves to be too manly to enjoy something that dainty, but that isn’t the case any longer.
A company called Say it with Beef has broken through the barrier and is now making edible flower arrangements for men. As you would expect from the name of the company, those arrangements and not made from plants but rather, from beef jerky. Known as Broquets, they are a unique gift to give men who love beef.

I have to admit, this was one gift idea that really took me by surprise. The problem is, I’m not only going to get one for someone else, I plan on eating one myself.
Here is how the idea came to pass:
What does one dude get another dude who is in the hospital without it being awkward?
That was the question that one computer systems engineer thought as he sat in his cubicle. When one of his coworkers nearly died and was hospitalized, he wanted to get him something. What do you get for someone who is sick? Flowers, right? Sure, but one dude getting another dude flowers would be just . . . well, weird.
As he pondered, he leaned back in his chair and saw a bag of beef jerky sitting at someone’s desk, and a light came on in his head. Jerky flowers. He could totally make flowers out of beef jerky. After a run to several stores and a few hours of time, the first Broquet was born.
So it was originally a man who got his man-friend some flowers, but they were made from beef. Seems a bit awkward but it really is a great way to show you care, even in a bromance.
