There are certain events that may seem to be rather normal to most people but to others, it is an important event. That is obviously the case with this new gritter, and the local authority that just purchased it has taken to the internet to find a new name for it. They want to help spread the fun and it looks like it is working.
If there is one thing I know about Brits, it’s the fact that we have quite a sense of humour. Obviously we are also fairly good at trolling as well. It’s the combination of the two that has gotten the most unusual responses to this seemingly simple request.
I don’t know if they are going to find a name or not from the list but at least we’re trying.

That is only a sampling of the suggestions that were given. Unfortunately, many of those who game these suggestions live outside of the contest area so they won’t count but it’s nice to see them trying.
