We have seen our fair share of camper transformations, some of them with amazing results. This particular job, however, is unique in a number of ways. First of all, the work was done by a teenage girl and she even paid for the purchases out of her own pocket! When you see what she did with the camper you will truly be amazed.
She began by purchasing a 1974 model camper that was in need of repair. She spent a number of summer nights working on the camper and ended up turning it into the ultimate “glamper.”
The final product is fantastic and it will surely make you envious. It just goes to show that a little bit of money and a lot of hard work can go a long way.
You can see the transformation through pictures below:
Ellie Yeater purchased a used camper from 1974 and turned it into something phenomenal.
By the way, she is only 14 years old.
Most teens would spend their summers relaxing and perhaps going on a trip but this teenager used her own money to make the ideal glamper.
It wasn’t much to look at on the inside when she started. The wood paneling and old floor were certainly ready for a makeover.
She bought the camper for $200. It was gutted, so she had a clean slate to start with. She began by scraping the floors and doing some repairs so the decorating could begin.
She got some help from handyman family members.
Her father and grandfather gave her some lessons on breaking the structure down and building it back up again.
She first worked to transform the exterior. she painted it a light blue color called “Mystic sea.”
On the inside, every single space was painted pink. She added light blue elements to some parts of the room.
New tiles were installed on the floor. They covered up the old yellow and key lime tiles perfectly.
After everything was paneled, painted and covered, Ellie began adding some personal touches.
Her grandmother also contributed to the details, making some curtains and napkins.
You can hardly tell it is the same camper! It’s now a cozy and cute area with plenty of pillows and hanging lights.
Some retrofitted elements were also added, such as a vintage camera and an old electric fan.
It looks like she may just have a future in home decorating.
Now that the glamper is complete, it can be used as a study place or some place to go for private time.
Ellie used her own money and creativity then got some help from her family to make something that is her own.
