When we think of Star Trek, they are the ones that we typically see in our minds and for good reason, they were the lead on the show.

One of those individuals was Patrick Stewart, who played the captain on Star Trek, the next generation. Here are 20 facts about the man that you may never have known before.

1. When he first showed up on Star Trek, he had a sign on his trailer that simply read “British Shakespeare Actor.”

As soon as the doors closed, the man blurted out, “Oh my God, I can’t believe it, it’s Dr. Spock from Star Wars.” To which his wife responded, “Honey no, no, you got it wrong.
