Dog Helps Alzheimer’s Patient Regains Speech

Korean War veteran Charles Sasser of New Mexico has an advance stage of Alzheimer’s disease and lost most of his vocabulary. But now, he regains his speech… with the help of a dog.

Lisa Abeyta, who made the heartwarming video below, says his father has had Alzheimer’s for almost five years and gradually stopped speaking about six months ago.

Sasser has two dogs, Molly and Cassy, and he was seen trying to talk to them. But when Lisa brought her family dog Roscoe to her dad, his speech has improved a lot.

Amazing recovery!
