Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley are planning an awesome reunion and over a seven week period of time, they will be working on a movie project so that it can be released in 2016. The movie, Absolutely Fabulous, has been hinted about and there certainly have been rumors, but now you finally get to see your first glimpses of this masterpiece!
There are going to be some returning characters to this project, and you will be delighted to know that Julia Sawalha will be playing a role as Saffy, June Whitfield as mother and Jane Horrocks as Bubble. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of additional information about those roles but they have been confirmed!

The following press release gives an indication of the plot.
“Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forevermore!”
Prior to further discussion about the commencement of this movie, Jennifer Saunders said that she had finished the script earlier this year. She had been working on it for 20 years!
