First Grader Gets Black Eye At School, School Refuses To Contact Parent And Then THIS Happens

When you send your child off to school, for many parents it can be a very scary experience. You have cared for and nurtured your child since the day they were born and for many parents when their child goes to school will be the first time they have ever entrusted that child to someone else’s care. However, we all like to think there are safety protocols in place and that you are leaving your child in good hands. And after all, you can’t keep your child wrapped in cotton wool forever, and they do need an education. However sometimes the system fails, and that’s exactly what happened in this story, which will both shock and anger you.

Jamal Cloman, a first grader ‎at Bonham Elementary School was playing football when he accidentally ran head first into a pole. Instantly in a lot of pain, he was sent straight to the school nurse to be examined.

According to Jamal “The nurse told me to shut up and sent me back to class”.

His mother wasn’t contacted or informed. However as time progressed and his eye started to swell the child’s teacher grew concerned and sent him back to the nurse. It was only at this point where Jamal’s mother was contacted. When she saw her son Samantha the child’s mother said

“‎I was scared and I was crying, I thought my child was going to pass away” and worse was to come when they eventually got to the hospital and Jamal had an MRI examination, the doctors informed Samantha that had serious eye damage and a serious concussion.

“They said the bone around his eye was broken” according to Samantha.

Needless to say, Jamal has been moved to another school but to give the school a right of reply, their statement was as follows. “A Bonham Elementary School nurse followed concussion protocol. The nurse conducted two concussion tests. After the second test, it was determined the student needed to be taken to the hospital”
