It can be difficult to maintain the memory of somebody who has passed on, but this idea is making a difference.
It was done by a loving grandfather and he provided this for his family so that they could remember him in a very special way. No, he didn’t leave them millions of dollars or a big house, he left them something truly touching.
What he did was create a pillow out of his favorite shirt. I know what you’re probably thinking, “That is weird,” but take a moment to think about it.
It may not be conventional, but it is a sweet sentiment and one that the family absolutely loved!
The message that the grandparents put on the pillow is also quite sweet as well. It reads…
“This is a shirt I used to wear. Whenever you hold it, know that I am there. Love, Grandad xx”
At times, we just miss the closeness of our loved ones when they are gone and there is nothing more that we want than to be able to hug them. Coping with the loss is difficult but having something such as this can help to ease the pain, if only a little.
All of us want little reminders of those that have passed on. Providing those reminders for others is the perfect way to let them know that you love them. Although you may not always be there, a gift such as this will last a lifetime.
