Parenthood is perhaps one of the most amazing times in life and many of us begin to enjoy those days even before the child is born. From the time that children come into the world they quickly become the apple of their mother’s eye and there is nothing that could be better than the love a mother has for her children. Unfortunately, some parents rush through those days, wanting to get them out of the way as quickly as possible and get back to their “normal life.”
This poem was written from the perspective of one mother to another, basically telling them to appreciate the little moments as they come along. Of course, we all need to deal with the sleepless nights and the day-to-day activities of being a parent, but those days go by so quickly, and then we end up longing for them.
There is a very simple message to this poem, but it is one that is quite powerful. Make sure that you pay attention to what is going on now, because it will quickly be gone.
