The wedding day is one that many brides anticipate for months and at times, perhaps even for years. They want everything to be beautiful, from the wedding dress to the reception hall and they painstakingly plan everything out in great detail.
Some brides and their bridesmaids will have plenty of flowers to hold but for Sarah Mallouk Crain, she decided to forgo the flowers and ask for some puppies. She works for a dog rescue organization and her bridal party held the rescue pubs during the portrait session.
“My days are spent rescuing, training or rehabilitating dogs so it only seemed fitting that I needed to include some on our big day.”
She posed with a nine week old pitbull puppy name Biggie Smalls. He was found on the streets. The groomsmen and bridesmaids took turns cuddling with 5 Boxer-Coonhound sisters named Dolly, Abigail, Elizabeth, Martha and Louisa.
The photographer had the following to say: “Her heart for rescue pups is obvious and she now gets to share that with Matt as they start their lives together as husband and wife with several fur-babies already a part of their family, making life extra sweet.”
Not only is the bride responsible for helping these pups to find a home, the newlyweds also have three dogs of their own. While many puppies are waiting to find their forever homes, they act as foster parents.
The puppies in the photographs were living in separate foster homes but they will soon be ready for adoption.
