Injured Girls Mother Fires Back at Hospital

When this little girl went to school on one particular day, she got more than what she expected. It was on that day that she got hit in the face with a rock and ended up having to go get stitches at the emergency room. As you can imagine, this event was traumatizing both emotionally and physically. As this young girl stood there in the hospital, bruised, in pain and with a swollen eye, the man behind the desk had something to say. He looked over at the four-year-old girl and said “I bet he likes you.”

Apparently, this man thought that he was being comforting to the child. At some point in his life, he likely learned that boys sometimes hurt girls when they like them. Of course, you should never consider that getting hit in the face with a rock hard enough to require stitches would mean that you were liked by the perpetrator. This is not the message that the mother wanted to have the child hear.

It is actually quite disturbing to think that anyone would tell a child such nonsense. As an adult, we always want to weigh our words carefully and we certainly would never want to make a child feel as if it was ever okay to use violence as a way to express emotions. As could be expected, the mother was livid and she wrote the following on Facebook.

This information that was posted on Facebook really drives the point home nicely. It is not comforting to think that any type of injury would be a display of caring, regardless of your age. The following video shows what real little boys feel about showing aggression toward girls.
