Amazon drivers have become a part of our lives in ways that we may never have even thought possible. We see them coming and going, delivering packages and often doing so in an amazingly short amount of time.
We know that Amazon drivers tend to do a good job at delivering packages, but they also do a good job at times being human. And that is what one Amazon driver showed when he did something so amazing that it is inspiring people through a viral video.
Chantell Ankerfelt’s all this through her video doorbell when she watched an Amazon delivery driver doing something to save her dog. Considering the fact that it happened near Christmas, we can only imagine how busy the driver was, yet he took the time to do something kind for a canine.
It all started when the dog got loose without the owner knowing. There was a board in the fence that became loose in the backyard, and their two dogs had slipped through.
One of the dogs is a pup she named Beau and the other is Lola, a Boston terrier. It wasn’t long before somebody found Beau and got in touch with the owner.
That was about the same time that the Amazon driver pulled up to the house and walked up to the porch. Lola is sitting outside the door and is afraid of her situation.
The driver could have ignored the situation and dropped off the package without doing anything. What he decided, however, is to call the owner, who was about 40 minutes away.
He then does something amazing, he got the owner’s permission to help get Lola inside. This wasn’t simply a matter of picking up the dog, there was a process to it because Lola just wasn’t cooperating.
When he got the code needed to get into the garage, he opened the front door and was hoping that she would go inside. That is when the dog ran into the house as fast as possible.
“I can’t believe the time and energy my Amazon driver went through to help my dog today,” Chantell shares. “He is my unsung hero and I hope that everyone will help make him feel special. I wish I knew his name so I could properly thank him. He AND the other unsung hero who saved my other dog today after they escaped are exactly what the world needs more of.”
Thanks to the Amazon driver and another person who called, the dogs are safe and sound.
