Father Gives Out Candy On Flight So His 3-Year-Old And Trick-Or-Treat

Although there are many holidays during the year, Halloween is a favourite in many families. It gives the children an opportunity to get dressed up and go out gathering candy from their neighbours and then they get to eat the candy to their delight! It is also something that many parents appreciate, because they get to watch their children enjoying themselves.

As it turns out, this one father was distressed because his daughter was unable to participate in Halloween because they were on board an airplane. The father ended up passing out candy to the other passengers along with a note. It allowed his daughter, who was dressed as a doughnut, to go trick-or-treating while she was on the flight.

The note read:

“Happy Halloween! My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight…so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little doughnut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!”

One of the passengers on the flight was more than happy to participate in. She uploaded two photos to twitter and they went viral with over 30,000 retweets before the plane touched down again.

“He was definitely a genuine guy, wasn’t doing it for the attention, just clearly loves his daughter and wanted her to be happy.”

“He was sitting behind me. When I noticed that my tweet had about 5,000 re-tweets I realised that this was something big,” she recalled. “I leaned back to let him know what I had done. Since I had taken a photo of his daughter I just wanted to be sure he didn’t want me to delete the tweet.”

The dad was fine with her sharing the photos but “he asked to remain anonymous and was just glad that his gesture made people happy,” said Kahan.

“He was in awe and thought it was really funny,” she said. “I told him he was a great dad and he seemed super humbled.”

Molly was also excited about the experience as it was something she was looking forward to.
