Husband Always Feeds His Wife 1st So Her Food Doesn’t Get Cold. Then Waiter Sits Down At Their Table

When we are going about our day to day lives, we don’t often stop to think about what is actually going on around us. Most of us tend to be so caught up in our own lives that it seems we can’t see beyond the end of our nose but if you look around and contemplate what you are seeing, it can make an amazing difference in your perspective.

That is what happened with one person, who happened to see this scene unfold at a local IHOP. They were there when another husband and wife came in, just like they did most Saturdays. He ordered two eggs over-easy, one buttered pancake, and a side of sausage but before he started eating, he helped his wife. She suffers fro Huntington’s disease and he helps her eat.

He rarely got to eat his food while it was hot. His wife was the most important thing to him, and she needed her food cut up and fed to her.

A man named Joe Thomas had worked at IHOP for 11 years. He is known for loving people and it can be seen in the way he interacts with others at work. He also took care of his mother when she died from diabetes, so he understands what it is like to care for others.

After his mother passed away, he cared for his father, who had prostate cancer. Before working at IHOP, he had worked at a rehabilitation center for a year.

When you stop to consider his past, it is understandable that he notices how this husband was struggling to care for his wife. That is when he went over and told the husband: “Sit down, eat your food. I got her.”

Before the husband had a chance to decline, Thomas sat down and began feeding the woman. In fact, this wasn’t the first time he has done it. He takes care of this woman every time they eat at IHOP.

Keshia Dotson is the customer who noticed this kind deed. She shared a picture of him wiping her mouth with a napkin and it has been liked and shared thousands of times. It’s easy to see why.

At first, Thomas felt good that the picture had gone viral but then he expressed the following: “It felt good, but at the same time I was like I really don’t care for the recognition too much because it’s just something that should automatically be done regardless. I am out there to help anyone if I can, don’t really look for anything in return just have a good day and that’s it.”

Thomas was provided with an opportunity to become a nurse after the picture went viral. It doesn’t matter what position he holds, he will always treat others with dignity and respect.
