A loving mom and skilled photographer wants to make sure her 5-year-old daughter remembers her childhood as a whimsical fairytale.
Violet Spring was born with a deformed left hand and her mother, photographer Holly Spring, decided to find creative, unique ways to photograph her.
Let’s just say Spring came up with some pretty awesome concepts, and now Violet has the best childhood photos ever! I mean, what’s better than being able to flip through an album where every photo looks like a Disney movie?
That has to feel amazing for a 5-year-old!
Violet Spring was born with a deformed left hand and her mother, photographer Holly Spring, decided to find creative, unique ways to photograph her.
The photo series celebrates the childhood of Violet and highlights how strong she’s been while dealing with her unexpected health issues.
Each portrait incorporates a whimsical, movie-like environment.
“She has taught me so much about myself. As much as she is my model, she is also my role model and reminds me to have the same courage in life,” Holly told “Today.”
Violet was born with symbrachydactyly, leaving her with a deformed left hand.
One out of every 32,000 babies born is affected with the rare condition.
When Violet was 2 years old, she asked her mom if her hand would ever grow.
It hurt Holly to tell her daughter it’d never grow, but Violet has done a great job adjusting to her condition.
Now, thanks to her mom, Violet will have an amazing collection of childhood photos to look back on when she’s older!
