Police Officer Gives a Boy Comfort in the Hospital

As a police officer, you never know what you are going to run into from one moment to the next. When you take on this type of a difficult job, it is necessary to watch out for the community, not only in making them safe but in making them better for everyone. Outstanding policeman help everyone from children to senior citizens and even the homeless.

James hurst is a Savannah police officer and he is a good example of what one of these men is able to do. He may be a rookie cop, but when he responded to a call about a 16 month old child wandering the streets alone, he immediately took action. He rushed him to the hospital and fortunately, the boy was unharmed.

That is one his fatherly instincts kicked in and he knew that the boy needed a hug. The photo of that hug is going viral!

He was recently called in as a backup on a small child who was found wandering the streets alone without any adults around.

When responding, he went beyond his training and used his instincts as a father. He knew the boy needed to go to the ER to be examined.

He also knew the boy was frightened and needed a hug. So the compassionate officer gave him one.
