Many people in the United States are still reeling as a result of the election. Regardless of what side a person happens to be on, it seems as if they certainly have a strong opinion and many of them are not afraid to let those opinions be known. In the United States, a teacher decided to do something on the day that the president was inaugurated and it has taken the Internet by storm.
The Love What Matters Facebook page shared the image. It was from a second grade classroom and the message is certainly touching people. The message is not only one that is good for children, it is good for adults to keep in mind as well.
“Good Morning 2nd Graders!
Today is a very important day, today is inauguration day! This means that starting today, we will have a new president. His name is Donald Trump and he will live at the White House.”
“However, what happens at your house is very important too! You can make the world a better place by starting at your house.
These are some things you can do to make the world a better place:
– Love yourself
– Listen to your parents
– Be responsible
– Be kind
– Celebrate the differences in others
– Believe in yourself
– Be happy
– Have fun in school
And remember: Love and kindness rule!”
The message may seem simple but it is having a huge impact for many people.
