This Girl Has a Bully. The Way She Dealt with It Was Unique

Life can be difficult when you have a bully, especially when you are a high school student. This 15-year-old girl, Hannah Combs, was talking with some friends outside of the school when a boy came up behind her and poured superglue in her hair. The glue ruined her hair and burned her scalp. The boys punishment? He received in-school suspension… What a joke!

Bullying is a serious issue. It is not a matter of kids being kids, bullying can cause severe problems that can follow an individual around for the rest of their life. In some cases, people have even committed suicide as a result of bullying. Fortunately, Hannah did not go that route and what she did to manage the situation is truly inspirational.

1

Hannah had just started her freshman year of high school. She thought that she was getting a fresh start, but what she got was problems from a bully.

2

Superglue is a toxin and when it touched her scalp, it caused chemical burns. Hannah thought that it felt like her head was on fire and it resulted in first-degree burns on her scalp.

3

Obviously, her father is upset because of the lack of action taken by the high school staff. After Hannah experienced this ordeal, she was sent to the school nurse but it was her father that took her to urgent care where she was diagnosed with burns to her scalp.

4

After this problem, Hannah decided that she wanted to do something unique. With her mother’s permission, she decided that she would cut her hair. Although she loved her hair, it was the target of this unnecessary act.

5

Hannah’s mother started a Facebook page for her daughter named Justice for Hannah. She started seeing support quickly and it made her want to help other people.

6

With the help from a local hairstylist, who decided that they would clean up the hair for free, she got a new look! In fact, she is proud of her hair, not only because it looks great but because it makes a statement.

7

Rather than letting the bully win, she is embracing her new look and using it to help others. Hannah wants to make a difference in this world because she recognizes that no one deserves to be bullied.
