It is quite an accomplishment to live to the ripe age of 95, and for many individuals, they live their life at that point to accomplish something special.
It doesn’t matter if you call it a to do list, a bucket list or any other type of list, these are things that you want to accomplish while you are still able to accomplish them.
As we get older, we tend to focus on our “bucket list” even more fully, and that is obviously what this 95-year-old grandmother was doing. Her name is Marion Roberts and she is in the care of Crossroads Hospice.
It was time for her to have her perfect day, and it was her love of horses that came to her mind first. Here is her story.
Marion was part of Crossroads Hospice and it is their goal to make the “perfect day” become a reality.
Marion had a dream of being with horses, and in particular, the Budweiser Clydesdales. Those Clydesdales are in Missouri at the Warm Springs Ranch.
Marion’s love of horses started many years ago, and she even had her first pony when she was only 7 years old.
That pony changed her life and for close to 90 years, she had a deep love of horses. She even became a trick rider in the rodeo when she was a teenager.
She wanted to see the Clydesdales in person but the ranch where the horses are kept is not open for visitors until April. They decided to make an exception for Marion and allowed her to come in for an up close and personal visit with those incredible animals.
It doesn’t take much looking to recognize that Marion certainly does have a way with horses. She bonded with the Clydesdale instantly and it was captured in this perfect photo.
