You never quite know what you’re going to see when you are out for the day. For a group of teenagers, it turned out to be something most unusual and shocking. They were out shoveling snow to try to make a little bit of extra money in their neighbourhood, but when they knocked on the door of one man, they heard some cries for help.
A young lad by the name of Coby Entihar was shoveling snow with some of his friends and his brother. He decided that he was going to check out one more home to see if they could some more business. When he went up to the home, however, he got the shock of his life. Coby had the following to say:
“My brother told me go up to the door. I knocked on the door and I heard somebody yelling. I felt kind of in a worthless situation. Like I was worthless because I couldn’t get into his house to help him.”
According to Coby, the man had fallen a few days earlier and had been laying on the ground in pain ever since. He said that it was a scary situation, something that you would not expect.
Unfortunately, the teenagers were not able to help the man because his home was locked. They did call 911, however, and paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene. The fire department representative had the following to say:
“You could clearly see he was in pain. This gentleman had been there for, we’re not sure how long, and we don’t know how long he would’ve been there had they not knocked on the door so they had a huge part in getting him help.”
The man’s condition is not known but many people have been praising the teens for their quick thinking and actions. The story has gone viral, and we can see why.
