It can be difficult to be a 911 operator, because you never know what is going to be happening on the other side of the phone. At times, it may be something rather horrific or it could even be as amazing as someone giving birth.
For the 911 operator who got this call, it was probably the last thing he was expecting. He answered the phone and the woman on the other side wanted to order a pizza. From time to time, they do get prank phone calls but it took him no time at all to realize that she was in trouble.
Fortunately, the woman thought to make the phone call and the operator was was able to stay on the line long enough to get her address and to dispatch police to her home.
This is the story as told by Keith, who was working as the 911 operator.
Finally, Keith realized that the woman didn’t actually want a pizza.
Keith could’ve hung up the phone and considered it a prank call, but he had the presence of mind to learn what was really going on and to send police to help this lady. Without his quick thinking, we have no idea what would’ve happened.
