Woman Wakes Up After Collapsing On Train To Find A Note. Now She Is Looking For The Man Who Wrote It

Ellie Farnfield was a twentysomething part-time acupuncture student who was heading for a fitness class on a London train. She suffered an epileptic seizure and collapsed without warning. When Ellie woke up, she found herself at the hospital. Although she was confused, she saw a handwritten note beside her. The note was written in blue pen on a piece of paper from a man named Tom, whom she didn’t know.

She was surprised with what the note said and posted it on Facebook in an effort to find Tom. 27-year-old Ellie Farnfield was on a London train in 2015. She was heading for a fitness class after leaving a family get-together.

When Ellie woke up in the hospital, she couldn’t remember what happened. That is when she looked down and saw a handwritten note beside her that read:

Hi Eleanor.

I hope by the time you read this you are feeling better. You had a seizure on the train and I took you off. You didn’t hit your head but I may have hurt your leg as I walked on it before realizing you were on the floor having a fit! Sorry!

I’m also sorry I can’t stay with you now but here is a coffee to perk you up later and £10 to make sure you get a taxi home. Sorry I don’t have anymore money so I hope you don’t live far away.

I’ve contacted people from your phone and medical help is on its way and you’re with train staff. Wishing you all the best and a quick recovery.

Love Tom

She couldn’t believe that he had not only brought her to safety but he left her with a cup of coffee and $13.

Ellie didn’t know who Tom was and he left no other trace of his identity. That is when she posted the story and note on her Facebook page hoping she could track him down.

The note went viral.

“I have no idea who this man was or if he was sitting next to me but I wanted to show how grateful I am to him,” she wrote on Facebook. “If Tom does come forward, first of all I would like to give him back his money and then thank him for what he did. He deserves a lot of praise.”

People all over the world posted Tom’s note, hoping someone out there would know him.

Ellie has not yet found her guardian angel but she is as hopeful as ever.

“It was so nice of him, it’s one thing helping people but doing additional things like what Tom did is something else.”
