Woman With Down Syndrome Visits Tattoo Parlor Every Friday

Tattoos are a permanent decision that lets any onlookers know about you, and what goes on inside your mind. They are often carefully matched with our personality or perhaps, with an event that we want to remember. In either case, they become a lasting part of our bodies.

When you consider all that goes into getting a tattoo, it is surprising that we don’t put as much emphasis on temporary tattoos. Now, I’m not talking about the lick and stick tattoos we all played with in school, temporary tats have come a long way since then. Today, it is difficult, if not impossible, to tell the difference between a real tattoo and a temporary one. For many people, temporary tattoos give them the ability to express themselves without the permanent commitment.

One woman from New Zealand has moved temporary tattoos into a whole new category. Her name is Suzie, and she walked into the “Muscle and Ink” tattoo parlor with a stack of temporary tattoos and a request.

Suzie has Down Syndrome, and she wanted to have tattoos applied to her arm so she could show them off to her friends and caregivers at the care facility.

Jason, the tattoo artist took the time to apply each of the temporary tattoos. He took the job seriously and even wore gloves!

Suzie loved what he did so much, she continues to come back every Friday. She always has a fresh stack of tattoos in different styles.

Jason feels that her weekly visits are the highlight of his job. It certainly does show that a kind deed does go a long way in helping others.
