This Little House Is Over 300 Years Old But Wait Until You Take A Look Inside

Many of us feel as if our house is past its prime, even if it is only a few decades old. While it is true that the roof may need replacing or it may have a myriad of small problems, age may not truly be an issue. In the United States, the average house is 36 years old. Although that may seem like a lot, wait until you see the house featured in this article.

The house is located in Cornwall, Great Britain. It has been around for 300 years! It was recently on the market and was purchased by a young couple who had some ideas of what to do with this old building. Although the work may have been large in front of them, with creativity and determination, they pulled it off quite nicely.

Walking through the entrance to the home is like taking a step into another world. You should duck your head, because the door is only 5 1/2 feet tall.

The old-fashioned appearance on the outside is quickly replaced with a modern look on the inside. Notice the flat screen television in the corner. I don’t think they had such a thing in 1680.

A colonial style bed looks perfect in a home from this era. Some paint on the walls added the illusion of extra space.

A peek in the child’s room shows you the awesome furniture and decorations. This is a room I would’ve loved as a child.

The bathroom is incredibly spacious, considering the home is rather small. Hopefully, they have at least updated the plumbing in the past 300 years.

Some modern touches in the kitchen in the way of appliances help to bring it up to date. We can only imagine the awesome British food that is cooked in this kitchen.

Although the dining room is small, it is perfect for a cozy family meal. Antiques bring additional life into the room.

No 300-year-old house would be complete without a back porch. We think this is an awesome area to sit and relax.
