A Vertical Forest In Asia Will Have More Than 3000 Plants And Creates Massive Amounts Of Oxygen

As humans continue to spread out and grow in numbers, it reduces the amount of space that is available for growing plants. The unfortunate thing is, without plants, we are eventually going to run out of healthy, breathable oxygen. That is why it is so amazing what is about to be done in Nanjing, China. They are going to grow vertical forests that will produce up to 132 pounds of oxygen every day. Just wait till you see them.

They are known as the Nanjing Towers and are slated to be completed in 2018. They are the first vertical forests in Asia, designed by an Italian architect. The towers will stand at 354 feet and 656 feet and between the two of them, they will house more than 1000 trees and over 2500 shrubs. The taller tower is also going to contain a museum, offices, an architectural school and a rooftop club. The smaller tower will have a rooftop pool and a Hyatt hotel.
