When we stand up with our significant other and say ‘I do’, it is perhaps one of the most memorable days of our life. It is the day that we promise we are going to be faithful to the one that we love and that we are going to spend our life with them from that point forward. For many of us, it is a day that we will look back on fondly and remember how much we cared for the person that was standing in front of us. For many others, it is going to be a day that they remember because of the consequences, many of which came fast and perhaps even unexpectedly.
There is no denying that it is a serious responsibility when we make the step of tying the knot. We may lose a few things on that day, including some of our freedom and perhaps even part of our software. There is something, however, that we should never let go from our lives because it is going to continue to serve us well in our life and our relationship. I’m talking about our sense of humor, something that can keep us smiling, even when times get tough. I’m sure that you can understand how much a sense of humor means to a healthy relationship.
Not everything is going to go perfectly in your marriage and sometimes, you might be surprised with some of the changes you experience.
