An LGBTQ+ couple recently shared the news that they may actually be half-sisters.
Despite the shocking revelation, the TikTokers say they are still committed to being together — even if it does turn out they are siblings.
Along with being TikTok stars, Canadian couple Mercedes Stewart and Carley Gonschior also own an OnlyFans account together. In their social media videos, the couple is often open about the fact that neither of them grew up knowing their dads.
However, this information took on new importance when the women learned their moms had both been with the same man two years into their relationship, which means that they could possibly have the same biological father.
The pair soon took to TikTok to share the troubling discovery with their 619,000 followers in a now-viral video that’s gotten over 8.4 million views.
“When u find out 2 years into dating that ur moms both slept with the same guy,” they wrote onscreen in the clip. The couple also added a caption asking followers: “Should we take a DNA test?”
As you can imagine, people were shocked by the revelations. Thousands took to their comment section to share their opinions, with many pointing out just how alike both women look.
“DUDE PLS IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT U LOOK ALIKE,” one viewer wrote, while another agreed: “That could explain why you two look like sisters.”
“If we’re actually related is it wrong to stay together?” Carley and Mercedes asked their followers in a comment. The response was mixed. One person thought it would be okay, saying: “The only problem is society. They can’t have kids together so what issues can it cause.”
Another was outraged, writing: “Are you serious? Are you trying to justify INCEST?”
In later videos, the couple seems relatively unbothered by the prospect they may be sisters. In one, they jokingly discuss taking a DNA test, worried if it would be impacted since they kissed 24 hours before.
In other clips, the women cozy up to each other while joking about their possibly bizarre situation.
As of now, they’ve yet to reveal the results of their test.
