Kristin is like many other young women, who are excited about the wedding and caught up in the planning process. For Kristin, however, the wedding was somewhat bittersweet but in the end, it turned out to be a memorable experience.
Her father, Deputy Walter “Kent” Mundell, Jr. was working for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department when he was killed in the line of duty. This brought up some question as to how the father-daughter dance would take place during the wedding, six years after he died. She wasn’t sure what to do but other law enforcement officers took matters into their own hand.
Police Det. Don Jones, from Seattle, took the lead in walking Kristin down the isle. During the reception, Sheriff’s deputies from the Pierce County Sheriff Department took turns dancing with Kristen. With each new partner, came new emotion, more tears and memories.
The photographs of the wedding have been shown on Facebook and when you see how touching the scene this, you can’t help but know why it has gone viral.
