We want to ensure that our children are as safe as possible at all times, but we especially want to take care of them when they are in an automobile. Restraining the child in a car seat is one way to do this but if you have one of these 3 car seats, the safety of your child may be compromised!
These three car seats are made by Fisher-Price and were sold at Argos. There is an urgent recall on these car seats because the restraints do not comply with test requirements and could compromise the safety of your child if an accident were to occur.
If you have one of these three car seats, you are urged to stop using them immediately.
The three car seats in question are:
Fisher Price Group 0-1 Car Seat Catalogue number 414/9314
Fisher Price Group 1 Car Seat Catalogue number 413/4082
Fisher Price Group 123 Car Seat Catalogue number 390/9720
Trading Standards UK has said:
If you have one of these car seats, please STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and return it to an Argos store for a full refund, or replacement.
The fault with the seats is that the safety restraints have been found not to comply with safety standards, as explained here:
