Derek Redmond’s Olympics Story: Very Inspiring

Derek Anthony Redmond did not win the 400-meter track semi-finals in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. But his story in the video below is truly inspiring.

Derek Redmond was in the mid-way of the race when he tore his hamstring and fell into the ground. Despite being in pain, he bravely stood up and continued.

Shortly after, Derek’s dad breaks through the security and helped him finish the track.

The incident is now one of the most remembered moments in Olympics history, and was used in commercials for Nike and Visa.

Determination. Inspiration.
